Volunteer vacancy – Regional Commissioner (West Region)

Do you have the drive, passion and skills to lead Scouting in West Region?  

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to take on the role of Regional Commissioner in West Region. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build on the successes within the Region over the past few years, and take the Region forward.

As Regional Commissioner you will provide strategic leadership across the five Districts – Greenock & District, Paisley & District, Renfrewshire, Argyll and Dunbartonshire. This is a large and diverse Region covering major towns as well as rural and island communities, each with their own unique opportunities and challenges. 

You will be responsible for making sure that the Region is run effectively, and that Scouting develops in line with the rules and policies of The Scout Association. You will also be responsible for supporting a positive Scouting experience for thousands of young people and adult leaders in the Region and promoting Scouts to the wider world.

Closing date for applications is 12pm on Monday 2 September 2019. Applicants will be informed if they have been selected for interview by Monday 9th September 2019. Interviews will then take place during September 2019.
