Volunteer Vacancy - Depute Chief Commissioner (Programme)

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to take on the role of Depute Chief Commissioner (Programme). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build on the successes over the past few years and move the organisation forward to assist us in achieving our ambitious strategy.
As Depute Chief Commissioner you will provide strategic leadership for our Growth and Inclusion targets as well as each of our programme Sections, from Beavers to Network. You will be working in partnership with our volunteer and staff team to achieve our overall targets.
Each area of our strategy plays a unique but common goal in growing Scouting, becoming more inclusive, shaped by young people and becoming embedded in communities. Each area has its own unique opportunities and challenges and this role provides an exciting opportunity for someone with our shared vision.
You will be responsible for making sure that the Programme Pillar is run effectively and supports our Regions and Districts, and is in line with the rules and policies of The Scouts. You will also be responsible for supporting a positive Scouting experience for thousands of young people and adult leaders across Scotland and promoting Scouts to the wider world.
