UK Parliament Week 2019
UK Parliament Week (2-8 November) is an annual festival that engages people from across the UK with their UK Parliament. The festival explores what it means to individuals and empowers them to get involved.
Scout groups can sign-up to run activities to explore how the UK Parliament is relevant to young people and their community. It also encourages young people to have their say on the issues that are important to them.
We know that our Scouts are active citizens and we are proud to be supporting UK Parliament Week to help inspire more of our young people to engage in democracy.
There are loads of things that you could do to take part in UK Parliament Week like hold a debate, have a quiz, hold a vote on what activities you want to do for the next few weeks, or ask an elected representative to come to your group.
It’s free to sign up and you will be sent a kit full of activity ideas as well as some goodies like badges and bunting!
There are lots of resources and examples on the UK Parliament Week Website and you can sign up for your free pack there.
