Scouts Scotland Chair named finalist in charity awards
We are delighted to announce that Moray Macdonald, Chair of the Board of Trustees, has been nominated as a finalist in the Scottish Charity Awards.
Moray has been shortlisted in the category for Terrific Trustee in recognition of his contribution to Scouts Scotland.
Moray says: “I’m really proud to be recognised for my role leading Scouts Scotland and our work to help young people develop the skills they need to succeed in life. I am so passionate about what we do and the amazing impact we make.”
As Chair, Moray has been a real champion for inclusion and youth involvement. He has been key in implementing youth-led decision-making at all levels of Scouts Scotland, and ensuring our governance structures are as democratic and transparent as possible.
Moray led on developing our new strategy, which will see Scouts grow, become more inclusive, be youth-led, and make a bigger impact in the communities it works with.
The winner of the Scottish Charity Awards People's Choice Award is selected by a public vote, so please support Moray and vote online.
Voting closes on 17 May and the winners are announced at a ceremony in Edinburgh on Friday 14 June.
