New national Cub Camp launches at Fordell Firs

New national Cub Camp launches at Fordell Firs

12 January 2018

We’re excited to launch The Howling, a new Scottish Cub camp at Scout Adventures Fordell Firs!

Following the success of last year’s Big Birthday Bash, we’re bringing together Cub Packs from all over Scotland for our new, bigger and better national camp at Fordell Firs.

What you can expect

The Howling promises an action-packed programme of outdoor adventure and activities, and the chance to have loads of camping fun with friends.

Over the weekend, Cubs will have the chance to take part in an exciting programme of activity sessions, including:

  • Jacob’s ladder
  • Climbing tower
  • Abseiling
  • Archery
  • Backwoods cooking
  • Bell boating
  • Bungee trampoline
  • Caving
  • Dry tooling
  • Fire lighting
  • Low ropes
  • Orienteering
  • And more . . .

Dates and costs

The Howling takes place on 7-9 September.

It costs £55 per Cub and £20 per Leader (including Young Leaders) to attend the camp. You will need to pay a 10% deposit at the time of booking.

The fee includes activities, catering and a special camp badge and neckie.

Accommodation is camping, so you will need to provide your own tents and arrange your own transport to and from Scout Adventures Fordell Firs.

Booking

This event is now full, but Leaders are invited to note early interest for the 2019 camp.
