Join the International Staff Camp Programme in America
How would you like to spend summer at Scout camp in America, teaching young people Scouting skills and helping them to achieve badges?
Scottish Scouting members aged between 18 to 30 are being invited to apply for the Scouts BSA International Camp Staff Programme.
The International Camp Staff Programme can be hard work but provides a very rewarding experience and a superb opportunity to spend a summer in America, discovering both the country and its Scouting.
All accommodation and meals are provided, and you receive an average salary of $800 for the whole period to cover some of your travelling expenses. The registration fee is £30, and you need to be available for six to eight weeks, beginning from late May.
Volunteer staff act as instructors in badge work, so you will be asked for details of your skills and experience in this area.
How to apply
Completed application form and medical form need to be sent to the UK Scout Association by the end of December. However, we advise anyone interested to apply as soon as possible, to avoid a bottleneck of applications at the end of the year.
