Job vacancy | Maintenance Officer
We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated Maintenance Officer at Scout Adventures Fordell Firs who has a sense of pride and ownership in everything they do. This role will be vital in improving and developing the maintenance aspect of Scout Adventures Fordell Firs. Applicants must have a can-do attitude and a flexible approach as priorities can change in respect of operational requirements.
Position: Maintenance Officer

Contract: Full time - permanent Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £18,720 per annum
You will work as part of the centre’s operations team ensuring all of the buildings, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard. To be successful in the role you will have to have an appreciation of what it takes to deliver a first-class customer experience, an excellent eye for detail and an outstanding work ethic to ensure you can keep on top of this fast-moving adventure centre.
The role is diverse and varied and will require the right individual to have an excellent work ethic, possess a variety of general maintenance skills including carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating. The post will also involve undertaking statutory and non-statutory testing of equipment and buildings. The role will involve assisting in ensuring all risk assessments, operating procedures, COSHH, and manual handling is up to date and is adhered to.

About Scout Adventures Fordell Firs
Much of our adventure programme is delivered under the Scout Adventures brand. As part of a UK network, we currently operate three Scout Adventures centres in Scotland. Scout Adventures Fordell Firs is situated on a 48-acre site just outside Dunfermline. It delivers outdoor learning, adventurous experiences and residential programmes to both our own members and a range of partners, including schools and other youth charities. The site contains two residential blocks, two working offices, a campsite and a number of other site buildings.
