We are delighted to announce that Colin Peters has been appointed Camp Chief of the Blair Atholl Jamborette.

Held every two years in Perthshire, this international camp brings together more than 1,000 Explorer Scouts and Leaders from all over the world.

Colin says:

“I am very excited to be leading the team that delivers a unique international experience for Explorer Scouts from across Scotland and for contingents from around the world. I look forward to maintaining the important traditions while ensuring the camp delivers relevant experiences for young people into the future.”

Colin has been involved in Scouting since joining the 17th Denny Cubs in 1982. He has held a number of roles at Group, District, area and national levels. He has worked extensively with the Explorer Scout and Scout Network Sections and has previously been appointed SHQ Commissioner (Network). He is currently a Group Scout Leader in West Region.

Colin first attended the Scottish International Patrol Jamborette at Blair Atholl as a young person in 1990 and has attended regularly since then on subcamps, activities team and as camp doctor.
