About the event
ScoutFest is our event for adults in Scouting to come together, have fun, gain new skills and pick up programme ideas.
We're running an exciting programme of interactive workshops, inspirational talks and activities to support you in your role. We'll be covering a huge range of topics, including safeguarding, first aid, activity permits, the new digital programme, practical Scouting skills and so much more!
You can try the very best of Fordell Firs' activities - from archery to abseiling; or from caving to crate climbing. We are also inviting some great organisations along, and they will be showcasing loads of amazing ideas and resources for your programme.
And of course, no Scouting event would be complete without some entertainment, so we'll be putting on a campfire, ceilidh, a bar and a café in the evening to help you enjoy a fun evening with friends.

Booking workshops and merchandise
This year we’re changing how we do the booking for workshops and activities at ScoutFest. Most things will be run on a ‘turn up and try’ basis, but for larger training workshops we will open bookings for this well in advance of the event. We’ll send participants an email closer to the event with the online booking form for workshops.
You’ll also be able to order ScoutFest merchandise when the workshops bookings open.
Childcare and parking
ScoutFest is an event for adults in Scouting. There is no childcare provision or activities/entertainment provided for children at the event. However, we want as many Leaders as possible to be able to attend, so this year we are allowing parents to bring young children. Please note that you must be responsible for your child(ren) at all times, and they must be off the site by 5pm on the Saturday, and at the end of the event on the Sunday.
Once again this year we will be running a shuttle bus to Fordell Firs for participants. However, if you have a blue badge for parking, let us know and we will arrange for you to be able to park on site.
