About the event

Scouts of all ages love being outdoors, so that’s why we’re hosting our first Outdoors Conference at Scout Adventures Lochgoilhead on 9-11 March 2018.

We’d love to see Leaders from all over Scotland come along to learn new skills, swap great ideas and share best practice, so we can continue to help our young people experience the very best outdoor adventure.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll be running sessions in a diverse range of adventurous activities, giving you the opportunity to develop the skills and achieve the appropriate permits to be able to lead groups of young people. Activities will be aimed at beginner and intermediate levels. Sessions will be a mixture of full-day or half-day sessions, simply choose your four preferred options on the booking form and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We’re offering sessions in:

  • Beginners & Intermediate Climbing
  • Bushcraft & Campcraft
  • Beginners & Intermediate Biking
  • Beginners & Intermediate Hillwalking
  • Intermediate Canoeing
  • Archery
  • Leave no Trace
  • Orienteering
  • Beginners sailing
  • Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

Download more information about the sessions.

This conference is free to attend, thanks to generous funding. Accommodation and food will be provided, but guests will need to fund their own travel arrangements to and from Lochgoilhead.
