About the event

Individual Scouts aged 12-14 can sign up to take part in a one-day event focusing on teaching and developing key leadership skills in a fun and practical way!

Throughout the day Scouts will work in patrols to complete a series of fun challenges and activities designed to develop skills in key areas such as:

delivering instructions

leading a team

resolving issues.

They'll get to enjoy various fun activities such as a Vertical tree climb and a challenge course!

Each patrol will be hosted by an Explorer and every Scout will have the opportunity to take a turn of leading the patrol.

The day will be rounded off with a guest speaker, dinner, and a campfire!

Good to know:

Drop off and pick up will be in the main car park at Fordell Firs. Participants should register on arrival; at that time, they will receive a name badge and copy of the programme for the day.

Participants should arrive in uniform and come prepared to be outside for the day – they should wear sturdy footwear and bring a day sack containing:

Waterproofs/ sunscreen/ sun hat as required!

A packed lunch; the event will be Nut free so they should not bring any products containing nuts. Dinner will be provided

In line with Scout Scotland guidelines we encourage all participants to take a Lateral Flow Test prior to attending the day.
