Youth Shaped
Youth Shaped
Giving young people
a voice
Our vision is to have a movement shaped by young people in partnership with adults. We aim to empower our youth members to be actively involved in every aspect of Scouting, including programme and activity planning and the way that groups are run.
Being youth shaped is essential to the future success of Scouting by ensuring that we remain relevant to the needs and interests of young people.
The opportunity to lead activities and plan events as a Young Leader was the most empowering part of my Scouting experience.

MSYPs
Every two years Scouts Scotland elect two Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) to represent the views of our youth members at the Scottish Youth Parliament.
The Scottish Youth Parliament represents Scotland’s young people. Their vision for Scotland is of a nation that actively listens to and values the meaningful participation of its children and young people. Our MSYPs can raise issues that are personal to them or on behalf of their Scouts Scotland constituency.
Youth Approved Award
Our Youth Approved Award sets the standard for youth shaped within Scottish Scouting and recognises all the great work our Members do to give young people a voice.
