for Schools
Scouts Scotland has been helping young people to achieve through outdoor adventures for more than 100 years, so we’re a natural home for schools looking for outdoor learning with impact.
Our three outdoor activity centres can deliver outdoors experiences that prepare young people with skills for life. We work with schools to create affordable residentials that can help you meet Curriculum for Excellence outcomes and help young people recognise their potential.
Scout Adventures Fordell Firs met our needs very well. The children were encouraged to work together and problem solve to try new activities and to push themselves throughout their stay.

Achieving in the outdoors
We support young people to achieve through outdoor adventures both formally and informally.
Learning for sustainability
Connecting young people to nature is one of the most important things we can do to help future generations look after our planet. Scout Adventures Lochgoilhead works in partnership with the John Muir Award, the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and citizen science network OPAL to deliver programmes that combine sustainable development education and outdoor learning.
DofE’s Award
We are one of the largest Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Approved Activity Providers. All of our outdoor activity centres offer opportunities to achieve the residential element of the Award. At Scout Adventures Lochgoilhead, we deliver Bronze, Silver and Gold expeditions, taking care of planning, training and paperwork for you.
