Mountain Training Skills Provider

We're excited to announce that our Mountain Training Skills Schemes are now live! We have 3 courses Available, Hill Skills, Mountain Skills and Intro to rock skills. These courses are designed to give participants the skills needed to get out on the hills or climbing. Minimum ages start from 10 and can be a great way of completing badges while gaining a certificate and resources from a National Governing Body, or the confidence to start a new hobby or even brush up on old skills. This is part of our ongoing efforts to work with national governing bodies to give everyone the highest quality training we can.

Hill skills - A Hill Skills course is your key to getting started in countryside and moorland walking. No previous hill walking experience is required because the content of the course is aimed at beginners.

Mountain Skills - A Mountain Skills course is an ideal choice for people interested in exploring mountainous terrain and want to develop their confidence in the mountains.

Rock Skills Introduction - A Rock Skills Introduction course is ideal for beginner climbers; those who have never climbed on rock and those with limited experience of climbing indoors. For those under 18 this can be a great way to achieve their climber badge!

Courses can be run on request, contact us on dalton.moore@scouts.scot for more information. Some open courses are available for booking on our website or through searching on Mountain Training soon.
