Robert Anderson

As the SHQ Commissioner for Cubs, I am the lead volunteer for the biggest section in Scouts Scotland. I have responsibility for the delivery of a quality programme for, and the strategic development of, the Cub section. Through this remit I work with the other sectional Commissioners and staff who form Scouts Scotland's Programme team, who implement those aspects of the Board’s strategic aims related to programme.

I joined the movement as a Cub and moved through to Venture Scouts where I returned to Cubs for my Queen’s Scout Award. Later, I moved to the pack where I am still the Cub Scout Leader. I also held appointments as ADC (Cub Scouts) and Change Champion for the 2007 Scout Centenary in Edinburgh.

I am fortunate enough to have been involved in many international camps, including many years at the Scottish International Patrol Jamborette at Blair Atholl, three Word Scout Jamborees and several other International camps.

Professionally, I am a secondary school Teacher and the school’s Duke of Edinburgh Co-coordinator.
