Graham Haddock

I was appointed as Chief Commissioner of Scotland in August 2011. I am responsible for leading Scouts Scotland, and I am a member of the UK Chief Commissioner’s Team.

I have been a Scout since I was 8 years old, and in that time I have held many roles including - Deputy Chief Commissioner (Programme), UK Commissioner for Explorer Scouts, and Deputy UK Contingent Leader, 20th World Scout Jamboree in Thailand.

I am a Consultant Neonatal and Paediatric Surgeon at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. I am also an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor and Operational Lead for Undergraduate Medical School Admissions, University of Glasgow. I am currently Chair of the Scottish Surgical Training Board, NHS Education for Scotland. Until recently, I held the role of Quality Assurance Lead for the UK Joint Committee on Surgical Training.
