Anne Whiteford

My role is to support the development of Scouting - to help Scouting grow - so that in Scotland there are more Scouts, and Scouts from a greater diversity of backgrounds. I lead a team of Inclusion Advisers and work in partnership with Assistant Regional Commissioners (Development) and Scouts Scotland staff to achieve our targets.

I have been involved in Scouting for many years and have been a Cub Scout Leader in Glasgow, a Scout leader in London, and worked professionally in Scouting for over 20 years, working on programme development and training at Gilwell Park in London, and focusing on strategy and educational methods at the World Scout Bureau in Geneva. It is exciting to see the wide variety of communities that embrace Scouting around the world and our aim is for Scouting to reach more communities in Scotland.
