I am a Trustee on the Scouts Scotland Board, filling the casual vacancy. I’ve long been convinced of how beneficial the transformative opportunities offered through Scouts are for our young people, for our volunteers and for our wider communities, so I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Board of Trustees and I look forward to contributing positively.
I have worked as a senior policy officer for Universities Scotland and Colleges Scotland, and as an assistant director of the Scottish Funding Council. I am an advocate for young people and education and have previously been President of the National Union of Students in Scotland, and before that Womens' Officer.
In Scouting, I have been a Beaver Scout Leader and Group Chair. At the moment, I'm Cub Scout Leader with 62nd Clyde (Darnley).
I have also having served on boards for Langside College, Who Cares? Scotland and Causeway Education.
