Robyn Seymour

I was co-opted onto the Board in February 2016 as one of the 18 -25 representatives. Now two new 18-25 representatives have been elected, and I have been co-opted as a trustee until November 2017.

As a young woman, I feel it is my job to represent young people and female members within Scouting, ensuring that the Board is youth shaped and equal within its governance.

I am very passionate about youth involvement. I feel that it is integral that we have young people involved in decision-making at every level of Scouting. I believe empowering young people while working in partnership with adults is the key to shaping an even more successful Scout Movement.

I have been involved in Scouting since I was an Explorer Scout at Riverside Explorer Scout Unit in Dumfries. Since turning 18, I have been an Assistant Beaver Leader and Explorer Scout Leader in Dundee, and an Assistant Beaver Leader in Aberdeen. I am also currently volunteering as a Scout Leader in Moffat.

In my professional life I work as a barista in a coffee shop.
