Thank you for the time you put into managing and making Scouting happen. Because of you, more young people take part in an inspiring programme that gives them the skills to thrive and develop. 

Our new strategy lays out a five-year plan to help us continue to build on the incredible progress we've made together over the last five years. We will continue to focus on growth, inclusivity, youth shaped Scouting, and community impact.

Making it happen

This plan will only succeed if we deliver it together, by working in partnership. We've put together some practical actions to help you deliver the plan locally. 

There are actions for youth involvement teams, sections, Groups, Districts and Regions, and there are guides to explain this in more detail. We encourage you to read the guide closest to your role. We hope this is a helpful starting point to form local action plans.

Sharing the vision and plan

We encourage you to share the Skills for Life plan with members, whether that's through your regular meetings, an AGM or online. You can download our template presentation to help you do this. 

There may also be some opportunities when you might want to share our vision with others in the wider community, and we have some resources to help you with this too.

An important part of our strategy is to make sure Scouting is clearly understood, more visible, trusted, respected and widely seen as playing a key role in today's society.
